IFAT Africa is an exhibition for environmental technologies that takes place once a year. As an offshoot, it offers the entire spectrum of environmental technologies and services with a comprehensive product portfolio ranging from simple to technically advanced machines and solutions in the areas of water, recycling and energy saving.
Especially in Africa, investments in the infrastructure sector and the water supply industry are urgently needed. Rising populations, economic expansion, scarce water resources and extensive agriculture pose major challenges for the government. In addition, the amount of waste increases enormously, especially in mining, which is an important contributor to waste. There is a need for action here. As environmental management in Africa is still in its infancy, IFAT Africa shows innovative technologies and solutions and ensures a high-quality exchange of knowledge and information.
IFAT Africa Is Only Open To Trade Visitors
The exhibition offers international companies a good start into the African development market of environmental technology.
Digital solutions for the water industry are the focus of IFAT 2019, the international meeting place for environmental technology. The products promise resource conservation, greater flexibility, greater efficiency, increased competitiveness and above all, greater security of supply for the water industry.
Dashboards
With a dashboard, operators of water treatment plants always have the most important data of their operations in view – compact, simple and organized. In the dashboard, animated graphics, charts, map services, notes and diagrams such as cumulative frequency or heat maps can be displayed clearly. Different users can personalize their most important data within their dashboard.
IT Security
IT security is moving further into focus due to the networking that is necessary for digitization. The software has been designed to operate in critical infrastructure from the beginning. The data transfer takes place via a consistent certificate based end to end encryption, both with the tele control technology as well as with the user access to the system. For a secure login, a 2-factor authentication can optionally be activated per user. Thanks to native weaving technology, it is possible to dispense with remote dial-in software, which presents a difficult to handle security vulnerability, says the company.
