But not only passionate gamblers get their money’s worth at the games show. The exhibition spins a wide arc through the history of computer games and classics like the arcade adventure “Donkey Kong” can be tried as well as the action-packed space adventure. And the offer is gratefully accepted by the visitors, because almost every day and evening, younger and older people make themselves comfortable in the bean bags and chase their game pieces with the joystick and game pad through the various virtual worlds. People sometimes even take the time to play through the games completely, says the exhibition curator. And sometimes the players would have to be torn out of their adventures because of the closure of the museum.
World Of Computer Games
The content of the exhibition is divided into several different areas, which flow smoothly into each other. Level 1, which starts at the entrance, is the retro level. The legendary Pac-Man can be viewed from a mosaic of many computer keys or chased across the screen during the arcade game. Further exhibits from the first generation of console games are the first and only console from the GDR and the first mobile game stations like the Playstation. Of course, the portable game boy with the classic games should not be missing either. Some of the seating is designed in the style of each consisting of four cubes, typical Tetris blocks and invite you to linger in front of the individual exhibits.
Human Is A Playful Being
For gamers, the biggest attraction of most computer games are the many different stories. Human is a narrative, playful being and can dive into strange worlds in the car, alone at home or in the cinema. Many strategies of action and a part of social behavior would ultimately be decisively influenced by the play. In addition, most computer games are very entertaining and represented a certain form of escapism. Another advantage for Nguyen is the interactivity of most games. The authors always remain the creators of the story. But the players become at least co-authors in the course of the game and can decisively influence the outcome of the story.
